Some of our adoptable kitties don't always come to our pet fairs due to schedule conflict or shyness at the adoption fair. Boxer was rescued with his brother when they were about three months old from a feral colony on a very busy street corner. He and his brother were very scared at first but gradually became socialized and now love to be pet and play. Boxer will purr when pet and likes the company of other cats. Due to his rough start, Boxer is shy with new people and will take some time and understanding while he adjusts to a new home and people. He would do best with people that are patient and have cat experience. Once settled though, he will be a good friend. Boxer, his littermates, and mom were all poly dactyl, so he has extra thumbs on his front paws. These extra toes give him more ability to grab and move things. So he uses them. Some people call poly dactyl cats Hemmingway cats since he had a large number of them at his home. Their descendants still reside at his home in Florida, now a museum. Just another special quality of Boxer. Boxer is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
